I had booked a Deluxe Queen Room with two beds. proceeded to tell me via Twitter DM that in order for me to cancel that I would have needed to provide my confirmation number, telephone number, and last 4 digits of the credit card used. Why would I do that? I had everything set for the weekend. stated that I canceled the booking at 7:29PST, That is not true. The price was much less than than I was charged. Next morning, I checked my booking via the app. Yet, I noticed that the price was much higher than I expected. I signed off on 3 receipts but he never gave me one. Roberto went to his back office and took some time before he came back to run my card. I did so, but noticed that it was noted that the confirmation was canceled. Oddly, they asked me to email them my confirmation. Upon my arrival, Javier greeted us and then the manager Roberto came to get my ID and credit. I texted them back that I was arriving at 9pm. When I was able to check messages, I noticed that the hotel tried to reach me twice asking about my arrival. Above all, this hotel is good to stay in if you are looking for a weekend getaway to LA in a cheap, clean hotel, where the staff is nice, and is located in a seemingly safe neighborhood in close proximity to fun places in Hollywood.ġ.49km from Super Silly Fun Land I booked 2 days at El Royale via. Kids in the hallway yelling at each other through the doors. And the people in our hallway were up very early. The people above us were up very late rollerblading and playing hopscotch. We stayed on the first floor and the walls and door must have been quite thin. I was surprised to see a waffle maker though. The room is so tiny (we were in a standard room) that you have to stop and wait for anyone else in the room to finish what they are doing so you can pass them to get across the space. Bed quality is quite low, and there are only two pillows, which for us was an issue. The room was also very clean, and the proximity to Universal Studios (which is why we were there) was great!! That all being said. They were helpful, friendly, great people. I feel a little bad about my star rating, because the staff was so great.
